Leaving the Pushkar Camel Fair this morning by driver from TCI to Jaipur .. About 3 hrs drive. Hope to stop in Ajmer on the way and see a famous mosque. Jaipur is the pink city but am mostly looking forward to a nice hotel room after my 3 nights in the cold tent.
Royal Safari Tent should be avoided.
The food is always Luke warm which means that I avoid eating much other than soup and tea so I won't get sick.
I have cookies with me.
Had some difficulty getting rides back and forth from the tent to the Fairgrounds which is a fair distance.
They have not got enough jeeps in service for transfers. Took the camel cart to the Fair twice and is a great experience but definitely not if u r in a hurry. The tent itself is ok but the toilet leaks constantly and the electic is off all day.
Most real hotels in Pushkar and low end ... Dirty. The fair was great though and got some Ts
And camel bell anklets and some of those black side view mirror hanging decorations that r on all Rajasthan trucks.
Tons of photos and some even r good!
Had fun with Sadhus at the lake after paying them for photos.
