Today- Last day Varanasi
Breakfast at hotel then did some shopping nearby.
Then down to ghats for early dinner at Lotus (pumpkin soup) and then down alonh the river to watch the festival. Many small lights lit along the ghats - was beautiful - but when we got back to the main ghat for the show it was a CRUSH of people and we were lucky to escape with our lives. Huge police presence seemed to favor tourists while trying to avoid stampeding Indians
We should have taken a boat to watch the festivities
Got a tuk yuk back to hotel
